  8. Committee reports:
  9. Special Events: Andy N7TP says Ares doing special county demo from

    Tonopah on Jan 20 3:30-4pm he will make an announcement on

    net meeting for all who are interested

    Bylaws committee: No report

    Technical Committee: No report

    Education Committee: Archie KE7IOE reports there will be testing on

    February 20, 2010 at the community center. EQSL.com makes

    QSL cards (not official), and that ARRL gives various awards for

    QSL cards. So design a card for yourself.

    Health and Welfare: Tom KC6ZSH wants everyone to know Roger made

    it home safely and is hoping to participate in field day.

    VE Committee: Howard KD6TLH reports VE testing at 1230 at the

    community center. He and Archie KE7IOE will get another VE for

    the test. Ares in Pahrump will have test help sessions each

    Saturday and on the last Saturday will be the test. Please call

    Howard KD6TLH at 775 372-1775 for any information. Howard

    also gave information that if you go on the FCC site once you

    become a technician you use your FRN# instead of your social

    security # for those worried about giving that information online.

  10. Public Relations Report: Archie Selbach.KE7IOE reports that there is a senior breakfast
  11. that we should help support in our community. It will be held once

    a month and that Archie KE7IOE will report on the net when it

    will be. It is also reported that the non-profit papers are ready to be

    signed and Gene KE7VIU says it should cost $200.

  12. New AARC sheets handed out to members.
  13. Our classes every month at the AVIA building will be put off until we are able to get the key from AVIA.
  14. Howard KD6TLH has a handset for sale if anyone is interested. 775 372-1775.
  15. Tom K2QGT reports that we cant afford a controller at $700. He also states that we should be monitoring our site at least 18 hours each day.
  16. Archie KE7IOE will try to pick up a club tower in Pahrump this month. It has been moved and second to have the funds of $75 given to Tom K2QGT to purchase said tower.
  17. Howard KD6TLH reports the science teacher at Beatty should be contacted about our club and for possible demonstrations of radio.
  18. Archie KE7IOE motioned to adjourn and Roman KF7GDO second
